Jewelry Care GuideUpdated 2 years ago

Here at Armed Forces Boutique, our product range boasts a wide selection of superior-quality pins, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings and key chains made from various materials including sterling silver, stainless steel, eco-friendly premium alloy and brass-plated 16k and 18k gold. We also offer gorgeous lab-created opal and zircon-encrusted pieces, as well as high quality enamels used in our pin sets.  In order to keep your jewelry as beautiful as the day you bought it, please take a look at the care guide below.

Love to smell good? So do we!  When using lotions or perfumes, it's best to avoid direct contact with your jewelry.  These fragrances typically contain chemicals that may cause oxidation and allow the jewelry to tarnish, drastically reducing the shine and appearance. The oils on your hands and skin can cause a similar effect, so always make sure your hands are clean when handling your jewelry!

Love to swim?  Your jewelry doesn't!  Keep your pieces high and dry when taking a dip in the pool, bathing or exercising.  A small amount of water and mild soap when deep-cleaning jewelry pieces is fine, but too much water can damage the material and dull the surface.

Love the planet?  Save the trees!  Don't use paper towels or other abrasive materials when cleaning your jewelry.  Always wipe them with a soft cloth to avoid scratches and unwanted lines/swirls.  P.S. be mindful when stacking pieces so they don't rub against each other and wear away the material.
